DO I KNOW YOU?

The man opposite me in the train was pretending to read a newspaper. Every time I locked up, I found that he was looking at me over the top of the paper. I pretended not to notice, but the strange man’s expression made me feel nervous. In the end, I could not bear it any longer so I got up and went into the corridor.

Surprisingly, he followed me. I wanted to ask him to stop doing that but I decided it was better to go back on my seat, now that he was away. I sat down but in only a few minutes, he returned. I stared out of the window, not to see his face, but I still felt he was watching me. Finally, I arrived at my destination. As I just wanted to step out of the train, I saw that the man suddenly wanted to step out too, so I decided to remain one more station. To my horror, he just made up his mind too. One thing was sure: he was following me. But why? I tried to escape but there was no chance. I grabbed a taxi and got to the other side of the city. I was sure I got rid of him but

suddenly I saw a black Mercedes stopping in front of me. As I wanted to turn and walk away from it, the man from the train yelled at me to stop. I felt my blood pressure grow. I was so scared! I stopped and wondered what could come next. Suddenly, dark thoughts came to my mind- kidnapers, rapes, murderers, serial killers. ”Maybe I’ll be dead in some hours“, I thought. But just when my mind was full of scary things, the man reached me his hand and said: “Hello! You must be my nephew! It’s so nice to meet you! I’m your uncle Matt, from London! Even if we have never seen eac other, I knew from the start it was you!” I was so surprised and felt so relieved that I asked him to give me a call later in order to meet and talk about our lives.

I hurried to work because I was already very late and waited for him to call. Just later that evening I realized that I had no uncle Matt in London, but well, everything’s good when it ends good.
